Funded projectsFollowing are examples of some of the affordable housing projects made possible by the Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation’s Predevelopment Loan Fund Program.
People Serving People, located in Minneapolis, is one of the largest providers of emergency housing in Minnesota, providing housing and support services for up to 440 homeless people per night. GMHC provided $50,000 in predevelopment funds for this project. East Phillips Improvement Coalition and Sherman Associates celebrate the groundbreaking of East Phillips Commons, providing 64 affordable apartment units. GMHC provided $800,000 in predevelopment funds for this project. Catholic Eldercare’s ‘River Village’ provides 107 units of senior housing in northeast Minneapolis. GMHC provided predevelopment funding to assist with this project. Valley Square Commons, a CommonBond family community in Golden Valley, provides 25 units of affordable housing. GMHC provided $77,350 in predevelopment funds for this project. Children’s Village Center – Hope Community on Portland and Franklin Avenues in Minneapolis provides 30 affordable rental units, community space and programming for children, youth and families. GMHC provided $65,000 in predevelopment funds for this project. Arlington Gardens, St. Paul, provides 50 units of low income housing for seniors. GMHC provided $400,000 in predevelopment funds for this project. |
